Banyak kali orang tengok artwork pen&ink aku bertanya, “Camnu rupa ko punya pencilwork ha? Ko buat loose/breakdown je atau tight/finish pensil sebelum ko ink?” Well, most of the time aku prefer buat finish pensil… spent more time on pencil & my inking will be a lot faster!

Ramai yang pernah tengok inkwork aku, tapi tak ramai yg dapat tengok pencilwork yang aku buat sebelum ink… so, these are a few samples. Enjoy!

the previous 18 issues for us back in UC was experimental...so aku ingat in issue 19..nak go..local sayang hajat tak kesampaian..

Ini Komik... Aku Yang Punya!!!

Macam yang kebanyakan korang tau, satu2nya komik bersiri aku kat Urban Comics dulu bertajuk Drakkuneia, satu siri fantasi pengembaraan berlatar belakangkan zaman kuno. Cuma episod pengenalan & pertama je yang sempat tersiar. Masih jauh & banyak lagi cerita yang aku rancang. Banyak gile… sampai aku pun macam dah terlupa stori sepenuhnya sekarang ni! Heheh!

The first pic was used as front cover for UC#9, beautifully coloured by art-extraordinaire, Mr Adijin the Xtravaganza! Hahah! But unfortunately, the coloured files was missing completely to the abyss without any chance to be recovered ever again! Urgh! Damn that!

The second & third are acrylic painting of a few character that I’ve planned to be a part of Drakkuneia storyline.

InsyaAllah, akan datang aku akan postkan complete series yang pernah kluar dalam UC dulu. Tapi belum dapat janji bila, masih dalam proses remastered! Heheh! Sambungannya, tengok la dulu nanti camna… Enjoy!

Where have all the UrbanMilitias gone?

4 years have passed by..after UC#18 last published on December, 2002...

so where all these 7 militias have been up to? well guys, i just sum up where they are and where to find them:

Adijin: located @ Cheras, full time professional comic artist. currently doing another comic project with US i think..(PNC)

Aim: located @ Shah Alam, a government servant (pejabat menteri kan Aim?). current project: tanya dia lah...( i think he's preparing stuff for UC.com & this blog)

Azhar: located @ Shah Alam / Sentul. Stuck teaching at Cyberjaya. Current project: graphic novel (PtS) schedule to be published by October 2006. Just finished submit pitching proposal for animation.

Kromosom: Located @ UK Perdana. full time professional comic artist( in charge of a comic production @ USJ). current project: KLP comics, graphic novel with PTS

Milx: Located @ Pantai Hill Park. full time professional comic artist. current project: just finished 30days of night:Dead Space (issue#1 & #2 already out), Transformers comic cover, and new upcoming comic perhaps?

UseNoHook:Located @ Damansara, illustrator and Music composer. Current Project: illustration, new songs i think..

White: Located @ Gombak. Fulltime Architect at KL. Current project: republished evil Spell, new comic portal, also pitching for MSC Animation Pitch.

well thess are what i've been informed, to know more about them check their links/website..so guys update/correct me if i'm wrong.

Tiada hadiah untuk mereka yg cuba mencari Jon Secada dlm sketch ini.

Attack of the Urban Babes!

For those who haven’t met them, these are the Urban Babes… and girls, please meet the world.

If I said earlier that Made in Mars have the biggest potential in becoming a very cool comic series, then, Urban Babes must have been the most potential comic series in Urban Comics to be fully commercialize.

It has almost all the ingredients to be a favourite among comic geeks (no pun intended Dett!) and also adrenaline junkies alike. Four super sexy girls, great action adventure, a good sense of humor, powerful arch nemesis and etc! And of course as every great plan in the world, it needs a good execution.

Created by none other than the talented dynamic-duo Fytullah Hamzah & Azhar Abdullah, it was among the longest running title in Urban Comics magazine. And this pic was just my feeble attempt at these lovely characters. Enjoy!

SOKONGLAH KOMIK MALAYSIA!

Arcrylic painting ni aku buat masa kita sibuk berusaha nak keluarkan UC#17 atau 18, tak sure. I was hoping it'll be publish as a poster or at least a pin-up in UC#19 0r #20... but as you might already aware, hasrat tak berkesampaian. Aku buat sebagai sokongan kepada Kempen Sokonglah Komik Malaysia yg baru bermula time tu. Logo yg aku jadikan tatoo dlm painting ni dah pastinya didesign oleh Ahmad Kamil/Aedes (a great job indeed!). So, Sokonglah Komik Malaysia!

Semoga tercacah dalam jiwa dan semangat kita umpama tatoo di tubuhnya...
